As many of you know, I am deeply involved in animal rescue work. For the past two weeks, I've been dealing with an incredibly difficult humane situation involving a colony of approximately 20 cats living in a place where they are no longer safe. There have been deeply concerning signs of intentional harm & murder, including suspected poisonings. Based on what I have seen while there trapping, several cats have already been killed.
So far, I have been able to safely remove 10 cats from the property and have plans in place to bring the remaining cats to safety over the coming week. I couldn't turn away from this situation, but as a full-time artist, this is not something I had the financial means to take on from the outset.
& then Last Friday, I trapped a cat, Mighty, who I suspect has already been poisoned. She is only three years old, weighs just five pounds, and is suffering from severe dental disease. the kind I am used to seeing in cats 4 times her age. She urgently needs veterinary care that I simply cannot afford. Including a full dental evaluation, likely extensive extractions, and comprehensive testing to assess any additional damage that may have been caused to her organs.
Every dollar raised from this raffle will go directly toward her medical care and recovery.
